Martin Sirl over at Playing out Loud has kindly reviewed the Son of a Working Man Single, and with comments like “beautifully hard to categorise” he is fast becoming a new best friend. Check out the review on their website.

Somerset Session EP Review
As if you needed any more of an excuse to get the Somerset Session EP, Bournemouth Echo’s Sarah Cartlidge has given it a review. It goes a little bit something exactly like this.
Yellowgroove – Somerset Session EP - 4/5
The combination of stoner rock, folk and blues may feel like it’s going to be challenging when you hear opener These Times, but stick with it. The four-piece draw on their influences from the likes of Mac and Zeppelin, delivering a penetrative, retro, and surprisingly hypnotic sound.
So if you still haven’t been hypnotised by the Somerset Session E.P. you can grab your self a copy here. http://music.yellowgroove.co.uk/album/somerset-session-ep

A few weeks ago we released a new EP. The Somerset Session EP is a raw look at Yellowgroove. We recorded it over a weekend at in Jack’s garage, then left it to Ben to mix and master.
As a thank you to everyone out there that has taken the time to listen to our stuff, been coming to gigs and generally being good to us, we have decided to give away two of the tracks for free! You can grab yourself free copies of Shoot You Down and Blood on the Flag.
The download track option should pop up. If you would prefer to get the full EP just go here.

Yellowgroove @ The Joiners
We’ve recovered from our intense R’n’R period and got back into the groove last Wednesday night with an interview and unplugged session on Bournemouth’s local radio station, Hope FM. The session also included an exclusive preview of our final masters for the upcoming EP The Somerset Sessions, which will be available to download from our website from Monday. For gig-goers who purchase a copy of our debut single, you will receive the digital EP download for FREE! Hoorah!
In case you missed the radio interview, it did clash with Eastenders after all, we will be making the whole hour available to download, also for free, from our website. Stay tuned for that. Free stuff on free stuff.
Our leap back onto the live stage begins this Saturday at Eastleigh Recreation Ground, where we will be performing at the Young Persons day, for, er, young people. We’ll be bolting off in a cloud of Transit van dust shortly after to go and do some more recording in Somerset, but we will be back in time to entertain fresh freshers at Southampton University on Monday, for RAGfest.
There are plenty of other gigs booked up for the autumn-winter period, so if the fall of leaves is starting to get you down, take a look at our gigs page or myspace to check the listings, come down and see us, and get your wee hands on our debut EP!
